I can't believe it is already time for school to start back. I'm excited to meet my kids but I am dreading leaving Carly each morning. We've been so busy playing and it's been wonderful. She has grown so much since the end of the school year. I am amazed at how quickly she changes. Her shorts look like "Daisy Dukes" and she has went from a size 5 shoe to a size 6 in about 2 months. Her hair has gotten a lot longer and even after a haircut you can tell that her pigtails are longer! She has picked up so much speed when she's running. She's talking so much no and is so sassy at times. The other day she dropped her baby in the car and was crying for me to get it. I told her she would have to wait until we got to school and she said, "No, no, no, you stop it!" "No" is one of her favorite things to say." Last night she was taking a bath and I was brushing my teeth when she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, mommy pay peas!" What else could I do other than play with her. Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning to he calling for me or Lacey from her crib. It's adorable when she calls for Lacey..."Lacey, here (click, click, click)." Sometimes she'll pull my hair to get my face closer and then bury her face into mine. It actually hurts but those are the sweetest kisses I have ever had. When she "hugs" the neighbors she just leans in and rubs cheeks with them. She loves "M"elmo and has learned to start the DVD player on her own. I bought her a pair of Elmo pajamas and she thought that they were hysterical. She would look in the mirror and giggle, walk away and do it time and time again. We've been to the pool more times then I can count. Carly likes to jump of the side or the steps. It amazes me that she can float around in just water wings and she can even swim back to the steps if she's only a couple feet away. I am also surprised that she knows her eyes, nose, mouth, feet, belly, head, hands, ears and tongue. She's also learned quite a few animal sounds. The monkey and pig are my favorite. When she makes the monkey sound she scratches under her arm and when she sniffs to make the pig sound. She also knows cat, dog, cow, duck, lion and she's working on horse. I just can't over how much kids can pick up at such a young age. Jason built Carly a playhouse and we've had a lot of fun playing in it. I can't wait to get it decorated and a kitchen counter built inside. We tried to camp in it with the neighbor girls one night. I was concerned that I wouldn't get Carly to sleep up there but I did. About 30 minutes later it began to thunder and lightning so we had to come in. I figure we'll try again in the fall. Carly loves to play with the neighbors Caitlin and Faith. Almost every time we go out she says "girls" and heads over to their house. They love her too! We are so blessed to have such good neighbors. Carly also loves to jump on their trampoline and a lot of times we sneak over when they aren't home...ooops, I think i just told on myself. Carly enjoys listening to many "school" music and dancing around. So about everyday we listen to "mik" and dance around in her room. She must get her moves from me! Bless her heart!!! She also gets her love of crafting from me. I had to put her craft supplies up high in her closet because she kept digging them out. She loves to "peint" and "cuca." We love sidewalk chalk and when I say "we" I mean it. We both LOVE to bike ride. If she sees me move the bike she flips out and we have to go for a ride. While I'm riding she likes to "tick, tick, tick" my back. And I usually have to sing to her. Hopefully no one overhears us! When I finish a song or there's a pause in the CD that we're listening to, she wants "mer." She loves to play in the dirt pile when we swim at my aunts and seems to fit right in with the boys. Carly likes to get her shoes out and wear them around the house for play but she's not big on wearing them when we go outside or run to town. She loves to jump on the couch. She likes to play catch with Lacey but gets mad when Lacey actually fetches the toys. She packs the poor little kittens around like they are stuffed animals. It doesn't matter which stuffed animal she has, but she likes to pack them around wherever we go. She usually has one in her hand or nearby when we are in town or int he car. She loves to play with her baby too. She likes to rock, feed, bathe, and put her baby to sleep. I love how she says "baby." She says it clearly but in the sweetest voice. I just love her voice. She likes to take her walking toys and try to plow over anyone or any animals in sit. She cracks up at that. She has started swinging on her belly and now sits up in the big girl swing. She climbs all the way up the slide. She helps me with laundry. She loves milk and wants it every time she wakes up or goes to bed. Unfortunately, I've started cutting her off at bedtime so she doesn't ruin her teeth. Oh, she also loves to brush her teeth and loves the tooth brushing song I sing to her. I think this list could go on and on forever but since I need to get up in about 3 hours to start getting ready for work I better put a stop to it. We've had a great summer and I'm walking away with lots of wonderful memories so I shouldn't complain...but I am so not ready to leave her everyday. I love my job but I miss my baby when I'm there.

mmmm...my first ice cream cone!!!!!!!!

Splish, Splash....More Florida Fun!!!

It was hard, but one day we skipped the beach and went to the splash park with my friend Jamie and her little boy, Ryan. Jeanette and I drove around forever looking for the park with no luck. We almost gave up but I got a hold of Jamie and she helped us find our way. We were so shocked when we got there. Jeanette and I looked at each other and both said, "We skipped the beach for this." The splash parks are bigger and look like so much more fun. We didn't think the kids would like it at all. Luckily, we were wrong. In fact, Carly loved that splash park and will not play in the ones around here. I guess this one was just her size. I was looking forward to being able to visit with Jamie and let Carly and the boys play with Ryan. Unfortunately he got sick shortly after we arrived so we didn't get to play with him. I need to thank Jamie for the invite to the splash park because as you can see Carly had a blast!

Dolphin Cruise

While we were in Pensacola Julie decided to take us on a dolphin cruise. We saw tons of dolphins and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing ride on the bay. The kids had such a good time. It's a good thing the boat was small because it was hard for me to keep up with her. She was all over the place.
